We are pleased to announce that throughout 2018, we raised £446.00 to donate to our nominated charity Elleray Park School! Thank you to all our staff for your continued generosity and for making that happen.
Elleray Park School is a state special school in Wallasey, Wirral for boys and girls aged from 2 to 11 with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and Severe Learning Difficulties.
The Parent, Teachers and Friends Association had spent last year fundraising for a sound and light system for the hydrotherapy pool area. They updated the system in August 2017 and were planning to raise money for an outdoor eco classroom to support the forest school curriculum. We’ve also just received our certificate from Children in Need (attached) thanking us for our kind donation of £70 following some fundraising we did on Children in Need Day. This brings our grand fundraising total to £516.00 for charitable contributions throughout 2018!
For 2019, our newly nominated charity for the year is the Lighthouse Club, the Construction Industry Charity. This charity in particular is very relevant to what we do and to our site teams, especially since their focus is on Mental Health within the Construction Industry. Fundraising for the Lighthouse Club means that they can continue to provide their helpline free of charge. Last year they received 1500 calls to their Construction Industry Helpline and helped 400 construction families with £705,000 of emergency financial aid. We hope to be able to donate generously by continuing to collect contributions from Dress Down Friday, as well as planning some fundraising days throughout the year – our target is to raise £1000 by the end of 2019!
